About Rangoli designs : PRINT

A picture taken in our South trip (town of Sirkazhi), during the winter holidays. This picture was taken from the neighboring yards of the town's famous temple; Sattainathar temple with main dieties being Brahmapureeshwarar (Shiva)- Thirunilainaayaki (Parvathi). Colloquially, this temple is called the "Periya koil" (meaning big temple, in tamil). The temple is situated near the banks of the river Kollidam. You might have come across the story of one of the great saivaite saint, Thirugranasambandhar, who, as an infant was fed the milk of wisdom by Goddess Parvathy.

(This temple is also a local favorite spot for students, during the study holidays. One such student was Mani (my husband), who nostalgically visits the temple telling us stories, whenever we visit his hometown). Smile

So neat and crisp - the background floor makes it look all the more prettier. I think the dot count should be 15 - 8 interlaced Smile
