About Padi Kolam : PRINT

This kolam is done using wet rice flour on Diwali. I tried the design that I saw in a function.

nicely drawn maakolam....I feel the bottom portion is slightly bigger than the top portion...

Yes! The bottom portion is bigger but I noticed it only after making this.

This is drawn neatly. But there is no symmetry in number of lines , there are 4 lines at some places, some have 5 even 6. You should be careful on this, i think. (though i am in play school in maakolam, i expressed what i felt).

Beautiful design and neatly done except little symmetry problem. But I think it is due to the angle of the image.

Yes the number of lines are not consistent. I will definately concentrate on this. Even i am in play school for kolams as i dont get time to put kolams daily. Only for festivals and occassions I put kolams. So definately will take all your valuable comments. I made this kolam in my pooja room. So there was absolutely no space to stand and take a photo. I took this by standing on my toe.

This is one of my favorite designs. Veenaji, your strokes are neat. If you take care of symmetry it will be excellent!

Veena, nice maakolam. Like Jaya, I also love this design.U can improve on this a lot by trying more. ( to fet symmetry, before drawing the lines keep dots at appropriate places for guidances.)
