Rani, What happened to Veni? Is everything ok over there? Convey our regards to her and tell that we want her to hit double century and that Her score is only 101 (not out) in sikku kolam.

Ya this is ammu's kolam, fantastic.

ammuchandhini's picture

Thank u priya, uma(uma u can try makolams on bb too...but one funny thing is when we start doing d kolam d dots get dry and start flying off..haha it gets dried so soon pa...i had such funny experience while doing one makolam on bb) thank u bala...still d strokes look so thick na...it was difficult on sand...

umaraja's picture

rani i tried maakolam in readymade rice pwdr, i think thats y i didnt get a palich outcome, could u pls xpln d making ?and can i use a brush to draw?

ammuchandhini's picture

Just soak little raw rice for half an hour is also enough pa....grind it smoothly in mixie ...let it be a thick paste like dosa batter and then start doing d makolam ..it gets dried so fast on a bb...so i placed kundan stones for dots and first i made a thin stroke with chalk and then its very easy to dip and draw with a brush...try it and let me know pa...

umaraja's picture

thanks a tonne rani, yesterday aftn i was struggling with my batter, let me try ur idea,,,

excellent work ! what a creativity ?rani one small suggestion ..next time try natural sand without colouring it and use as a rangoli powder not as a background and use some dark colour like coffee brown or black(if allowed) for shading it will look very very nice as i am imagigining the same right now dear

Excellent kolam in beach sand rani....Loved this very much ....DYK These types of kolams are called as Bodans in konkan side....I have read some where...even your earlier kolam was also of the same type...Just FYI

Wow, this turned out cool with mixed up mediums!
