Lotus, hibiscus and lighted lamps. Nice
preparations for worship! The dots could
have been placed more evenly to give the
hexagonal look. At present it is a bit
distorted. Very good, best of luck and regards!

thank you lakshmiraghu, jayamohan (i used the usual rangoli colours mixed with kolam and rice powder), rajamma and jkmrao (actually the dots were evenly placed only - it was the angle in which the photo was taken that made it look out of shape - as i could not cover the entire kolam in the frame - anyway thanks for your advise will take more care in future) - very nice of you all to comment on my first attempt to load my kolam on this site.... i feel so welcome here - and please do vote for me too..... thanks once again....

my sincere thanks to all those who voted for my kolam during the Margazhi Dewdrops Kolam Contest - I think I got about 26 votes - I am really grateful to all those who thought my kolam was worth a prize - that itself was a prize in itself and has motivated me to do something better next time........... thanks once again
