Very nice maa kolam Vasanthi. The lines are so straight and perfect. Looks like as if you have drawn with a scale. Neat presentation dear.

thank you bala mam, suguna mam, subaji, nithya and maha for your nice comments.
Suguna mam, I also learnt to do maakolam through our ikolam friend pushpa, (Gallery name Dibbutn)
"soak raw rice overnight and grind the soaked rice very nicely (do not add much water..better add water in the last) the batter should be like a thick milk" this is the procedure for making wet maavu for kolam...

and Subaji....once I went through the photographs of Chennai meet and I saw your photo and also in the recent decorative plates section..you had mentioned that your daughter in law had made the duck decoration...
giving respect to elders is the right manner know mam...that why the new Ji...

Fantastic kolam and looks like printed one. The dark maroon has doubled the beauty. Is that colour or Kavi powder.
