Excellent maa kolam sowmya. How do you color maa kolam. U give color after the kolam dries or use mavu mixed with some color powder?

Thanks Kala...Normally I colour the rangoli after it gets dry using normal colour powders.

Wow, Sowmi, what a beautiful presentation dear. Superb maa kolam. From where do you get such different designs? Is all these your own imagination?

Thanks Maha...Except 2 or 3 kolams all other kolams are my imagination...even if I do some inspirational work I do change most of the designs from the original one and I don't draw any of these kolams before hand...just draw them straightly...

Sowmya, waw!day by day your stroke plays are amazing!I admire the way you make new designs everytime in Padikkolam.(U know, I too like the x and dot design very much which I use it often in my padikolams, I learnt it from my Athai). I appreciate the neatness of your drawing with wet maavu. wondering how it is possible for you to draw such eloborate design with out spilling even a drop of wet maavu anywhere!

Thank You Rajamma mam for your encouraging words...that particular design is also one of my favourites... And about the spilling I then and there wipe out the dots with a dry cloth and clean :bigsmile:

Sowmy dear, I dont remember ever seeing an even average kolam from you... all your kolams are just amazingly beautiful and a person who views it I bet would first utter the word "WOW"... excellent kolam dear with beautiful green and red dots... So "WOW SOWMY" this is just WOW :bigsmile: :bigsmile:
