I've noticed that your "kaavi" is pinkish in most of your designs, looks beautiful. Is it kaavi or color powder?

Deepa, you have gone a step ahead from your brown mud-floor to cement step! I'm sure you will take us inside your house step by step! Thanx for the tip on pink-kaavi!

Deepa, I also used straberry food color liquid to mix with wet kola maavu to get pink color kaavi. and named the kolams as Pink and white kolams.
Since youe have drawn lotus flower u could have filled it with pink color too.

in our area shops where i used to get they give me kaavi colour sometimes in deep red, sometimes scarlet red,and sometimes pinkish,i do not know the reason for this colour change but i try to make kaavi with somewhat pinkish colour since i like them when shaded on the mud floor i created specially for the kolams in front of my home.but recent showers and my neighbours car are my mud floor's greatest stiff contenders.
