About Hexagonal chikku kOlam - 9 : PRINT

I have uploaded already the hck's with (3-4-5-4-5), (4-5-6-7-5-4) dot patterns. By the way the 2-3-2 rangOli is trivial with only two colours. Today I am uploading one with (5-6-7-8-9-8-7-6-5) dot pattern. This has got six strings with similar symmetry. What Mrs Jaya Mohan said is true. These hck's bear resemblance to the aiSvarya rangOlis. In fact, I have discussed the aiSvarya rangOlis more than a year ago at

The number of colours there plus two is the total number of colours you will get for these rangOlis. The pattern here is a modofication of the third one at the top in that. I arrived at these independently in a different way. jayAjI's comments urged me to go back to the above. Enjoy!

mOhanaji, me and my sister Jaya Mohan were discussing your recent hexagonal kolams and its resemblances with Aishwarya kolam and I remembered the simplest of that kind, with dot count 1, 4, 3, 4, 1( which my Motherinlaw used to put daily in the pooja room with utmost perfection with all the triangles identical, with white kolapodi) and I have tried it with flowers in my earlier pookolam http://www.ikolam.com/node/2167?p=1984.
IThis HCK-9 kolam is also very challenging. we have to still train ourselves more to get perfection in getting the triangles and the weaving lines.I think some member has already started. Thanks for the other detailed informations.
