Hexagonal chikku kOlam - 3
About Hexagonal chikku kOlam - 3 : PRINT
Here is a hexagonal chikku kOlam assembled with a 4x2 sona drawing. The overall symmetry is 32 (a vertical three-fold axis giving rise to 120 deg rotations and three intersecting two-fold axes at 60 deg). Note the following characteristics: (1) There are four independent coloured strings. (2) The up and down motion is present for all the strings. (3) Note the triangular knots made of three independent strings. There are 50 such knots in this pattern. (4) There are lots of stringed stars of David.
Enjoy! Regards - mohana

Joy Koduppadhil Mannar sir, neenga!
Tried it manually with the 7- 4 dots, but naturally, the symmetry that you have cannot be replicated. Naan nalla naalileye naazhippal!
Amazing and awesome imagination,
Thank you.

Thanks everybody for the comments. ushAjI, I don't deserve the praises heaped on me. My thoughts are like that of a child. One day, it is paDikOlam, another day a play with letters and another day a chikku kOlam. I am glad to know that experts utter a few nice words. It also humbles me quite a bit. I am always a learner and a beginner at that.

Extremely well drawn kolam. I do not have words to describe it. To top it all is the colouring.
