Super Pongal kolam. This pongal paanai reminds me the first pongal kolam entry you put jointly with your Motherinlaw .Here, the Lotus is your master piece. dancing karumbu and manjal are the favourites. we have seen the cute lamps before , but not with blue tails which make it look like an Annam . I love the violet color of the little flowers.
So Brindha when r u going to give the color making Receipe?

Brindha, perfect coloring and shading! In the absence of big entrance in your Calcutta house, you have started using rooms for big rangolis, I guess!

Another masterpiece from you dear - I just love the violet flowers on the top and side - they are so pretty.. The paanai is really bright and colourful spreading happiness all over.. Your chakkarai pongal is also flowing out from the pot and I am sure it will be very tasty because so much of your's and Thangamani aunty's love is mixed with it - thanks for this visual treat Brindha

Thank u Rajamma ma'm. The colours are made with fabric dye colours available with dyers. These may be available in Art and craft shops which sell material for Tie & Dye design. But I get these ready made colour podis from Salem area. There is no secret recipe for making these dear Rajamma Ma'm.
Thank you Jayaji, you are right ma'm.
Thanks Nithya, for your sweet comments !
Thank you Judy The Pongal is made with Khajur Gur (Date -Perichampazham- Jaggery) available in Kolkata during the winter. Khajur Gur tastes soooo nice, for that you must come to KOlkata during next winter (standing invitation)!
Thanks Ananthalakshmiji, Chandyji and Alameluji for your nice comments.
