the top photo is a painting done by me long time ago, inspired by one of the sculptures in belur, i wanted to color fully but was afraid, so thought of making in two brown shades to resemble like a woodden sculpture :).
ranji, its the simple krishna tatva rangoli, starting with star (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clvzyjaqxy4 - rangoli for krishna), drawn on sheet of paper and colored with rangoli powder. normally i use some base as the colors penetrate into the marble floor if oil & water gets spilled over during the pooja.
