Happy Sankranthi/ Pongal to all. Did a Sun's chariot, rangavalli with kite flying and cow, symbolizing the fetival, could not color due to time constraints.

Golu during Pongal days! It is interesting to learn about how different states in India celebrates Sankranthi.

It is quite common to have bommala koluvu (exhibition of dolls)
during saMkrAMti in the Telugu speaking areas. In fact, saMkrAMti
is called sometimes as pedda paMDuga (grand festival). gobbi is
also common. After drawing the muggu, in the centres, one places
lumps of cowdung and put yellow flowers on them. There are
gobbi songs too in the folk music.
