Shading technique: We have to mix rangoli powder with kolam powder for getting light shades and for dark shades we have to mix with wet sand. Wet sand mixture to be prepared during previous night and so it would give a velvetty look.
Samanviithaa your rangoli is superb... The way you have coloured and drawn bold outlines makes it look outstanding. I like the way you have bordered your rangoli too.. Last but not least I just love that tiny border peeping from the top and bottom left side of the photo. Pity we did not get to see more of it though....

The designs around the colourful rangoli and the outside border which is visible very little are also eye catchy. Eagerly waiting to see more of your creations.
