About Cala lily : PRINT

Cala lily stands for splendid beauty. This is indeed very beautiful.
Looking at it, one is reminded of a hooded snake.

Enjoy! Regards - mOhana

Nice design mOhanaji, I have Plumeria flower earrings (from Hawaii) that looks exactly like the design on the right (same off-white color with a tinge of light yellow at the center).
I failed miserably in growing yellow Cala lilies in my frontyard.

Such a simple flower when joined together giving way to form a beautiful design!
The inner star shaped black space is creating a magic with a streak of thin white lines.
mOhanaji, I am tempted to try/copy this with kolam podi.

Chithi, You stole my words. I was thinking how the dot count will be for this to make kolam, and there goes ur comment!

Lata's picture

About the design on the right side, the inner black design looks like this dotted kolam with 5,4 and 3 dots, but in a "reflected" style:

It is interesting to note that the white petals are pointing out in a clockwise direction, whereas the inner shiny white strokes run in an anticlockwise direction.

simple yet attractive.

Thanks everybody for the kind words. One note about how I did these patterns.
It is always preferable to do patterns with motifs in white background. As you see,
the motif here has a dark background. So I did all my patterns with the negative
(it has a white background) and finally converted them to a dark background by taking
their negative Smile I am flattered rAjammAjI, please go ahead and make a rangOli.
Your animation is indeed pretty to watch, latAjI.
