About A twist to the sOnA tale! - 4x6 - elimination of 23. : PRINT

I found a new twist to the sona tale last week. If one chooses a dot matrix whose rows and columns have a common divisor, we know we get more than one line. In the case of 4 x 6 dots (four rows and six columns), we get two lines (shown top left). Now what I did is to isolate a particular dot (2nd row, third column or 23 dot). When joining lines, I skirt this dot. Then, voila, I get a single line, not two. This is shown in bottom left. If I choose this motif and build a sona square, as expected, we get two lines (shown on the right). This is true only for this dot and its symmetry equivalents, not for others. Enjoy!

Indeed a new pattern which looks nice.
The top left double decker sOna reminds me of ordinary 3x4 kolam.

Forgot to add..
Earlier the above kolam looked to me as an ordinary chikku kolam and now learnt a lot after your explanation.
Thanks mOhanaji for giving me a new perspective to the kolams.
