Good work with a fusion of rangOli and flowers. Simple, but elegantly planned and executed. Could have placed some lamps too. This year, I decided not to grade anyone. My dear friend, your enthusiasm and participation makes you already a winner in my opinion.
Thank you all for your lovely comments.
For colouring the rice, first i mix the colour with water, then add the rice and leave it for say 1/2 an hour so, then drain the water and spread the rice in the paper.Let it dry.
I have another picture of the same rangoli with the lamps.I will upload it in the cafe.

Lovely rangoli decorated with flowers! Combination of bright yellow and red makes this design quite attractive. I like the way you've colored your white curls with red powder.
Best wishes and thank you so much for participating in the contest.
Rangoli contest 2010 results will be announced on November 20th at 6:00pm Pacific Standard Time (that will be November 21st 7:30am Indian Standard Time)

Bright and Beautiful. Good fusion work and the the wet maavu as the outlines gives a charming look to the rangoli. All the best.
