About Diwali rangoli 2010 : PRINT
My first attempt at Rangoli. Didn't come out as expected. Experts in rangoli kindly guide me on how to mix the kola maav with the ragoli powder in what proportion, how to spread the colour,achieving a thin layer and also shading in rangoli. This will help me in making a good rangoli for Karthikai.

I appreciate your enthu in participating. Nice simple rangoli.keep trying, the color technique will come automatically.( go thru the gallery section there so many have given the tips in mixing the colors.)

This is actually quite natural as flowers have a mix of colours particularly around the centre. Though small, it makes its presence felt. This year, I decided not to grade anyone. lakshmI ma'am, your enthusiasm and participation makes you already a winner in my opinion.

Simple and nice rangoli. Trying mixing colors with white kolapodi or u can buy the readymade nylon colors from the store

A good starter rangoli! Yellow sprinkles of color on top of orange looks pretty. Best wishes and thank you so much for participating in the contest.

Thanks everyone for such lovely compliments and encouraging words. It's very ordinary as compared to the beautiful rangolis made by others. Also symetry had gone for a toss here. But I improved and made a nice rangoli for Karthikai. Have posted it in ikolam. Hope you all like it. Not able to achieve a smooth and velvetly finish yet. Aur kahin saal lag jayeige!
