The Meet!!

My Gallery
Okay now, I guess it is my turn to vent out my restlessness! I just talked to our blue beauties, a while ago, and took my turn to say "hello" to most of the assembled members. And now, I can't help talking to myself; "What the hell am I doing here!?"
Why am I so unlucky, always? Stupid me, stupid life...BOO HOO HOOOO
(c'mon brain, just shut the hell up and go to bed).

Lata and all, I just returned from the meet.Oh !it was like a big family function attended by all the members who promised earlier to come. And we had the relatives of some members, the host Sudha's family, Lakshmi's family. right from the kids, teenagers, ladies, menfolks and 2 senior most citizens all came and involved themselves with the kolam proceedings till the evening. Our Dear Anirudhji will be giving the detailed description of the whole function tomoro, I presume.,with photos.we were welcomed by nice big rangolis, at the entrance of the road, on the corridor and in front of the house and a wonderful pookolam inside the home ( all made by Sudha and Lakshmi).A nice banner form Anirudh was the highlight. Morming 10.30 all arrived. Prayer, lighting thelamp, followed by self introduction took some time. prelunch period anirudh was the centre of attraction teaching origami to all .( children enjoyed the most) Then we had kolam making in the big corridor, joint venture of different type of rangois. A neighbour lady also joined us and showed her skills( already she is one leg inside ikolam , will become member soon.); Then we had anice lunch. Sudha, her sister, son and Athai made us comfortable and served a nice lunch. Post lunch time we spent in learning art work... making quilt work from Jayanthi, underwater/above water rangoli from Lakshmi .Pavan and Anirudh started to explain Photoshop theory and practical lessons but I have to take leave of themsince I have to travel back a long distance. Our Aasthaana photographer Mr. Raghu fully covered the entire days events and you will have the real fun seeing them.So Bangaluru Neelkamlas made it in a grand way.Await for further details from all..Lata. we could understand your feelings. We all will pray and see to that you attend our next meet in India, soon. ,

Before attending the meet I was with many thoughts and questions, because this is my first meet with ikolam members and first in my life meeting like this. But after entering to Sudha's house and spending almost 6 to 7 hours with the ikolam family, it was so different and enjoyed like my own family. Thanks to Sudha and her family for arranging so well and her efforts. I have learnt so many things, how to draw different strokes, stencils drawing, water drawing, craft work and Indumathy's collections, etc. Overall it is nice and enjoyed. Last but not the least Anirudh's banner and Neel kamal was so beautiful.

Lata tx a million for giving us this wonderful opportunity to meet and interact with each other. I normally never do anything of this sort and this was something I will cherish for a long time. As I entered (with reluctance as to whether I am going to feel out of place) into Sudha maam's house I didnt have time to think cos I was welcomed so nicely by Sudha maam, Rajamma maam, and Lakshmi maam (I was the late latif though). We all bonded so well as though we knew each other for a very long time and how time flew we just didnt know. The whole day was such fun.
By the way Vids is that your photo or your twin sister's, (இந்த் பால்வடியும் முகமா நேத்திக்க பார்த்த) I meant the one you have given the photos of the event.
On the whole Neel Kamals created waves to bring a much needed shower to Bangalore. Hip Hip Hurray!!!

Hi everyone, i can feel the happiness you all experienced in Bangaluru Neel Kamal meet. I also get the same happiness by seeing all those (not yet finished) photos. I can recognise some of our members and waiting to know about others. Lakshmi, you are very lucky to attend both the family meets and others are also lucky to have you there to enjoy your styles in live demo. Rajamma Mam, Jayanthiji, and Anirudhji, i also want to see live demo of your kolam's style and crafts. Actually i was thinking 2 days before that nowadays we can't see Anirudh in ikolam.
Lata, when you come to India next time, we will arrange a meet and i will also try to make it positive to attend the meet. Awaiting for the opportunity eagerly:)
