Thanks everybody! jayA ma'am, this was created a full fortnight before IWD. This was a followup to latAjI's kuja dOshaM. I could not immediately locate that as I cannot find the search icon. Going back to rangOlis is not possible now as it is a time consuming exercise. The uniqueness in the two designs is that the top one has only one pattern in the unit cell whereas the bottom one has four! The unite cell is defined by taking identical neighbours such as the centre of the white cross and joining them.
Wow this is such a pretty pattern JKM - reminds me of minesweep game on the computer. These look like landmines to me - the top design is very pretty. My uncle had a terylene shirt with the same print (the top design)..
