Thank you all for the comments. For Snow village, I used a foam sheet as base and painted it with black for the road; arranged houses, figurines and spread fake snow around them. Finally, prepared the fence with coffee stirrers and painted them black.

What a lovely snow village you'd made! It looks very real, very similar to the ones we get to see in our local "Christmas at the park" in the bay area. Very nicely done. I also enjoyed the display of couples dressed in different regional dresses shown on the right side.
