Enga Veetu Bomma Kolu- 2014
This year our golu has seven steps and a Theme depicting "Village and city Life" emphasising the importance of planting more trees to preserve this world from pollution. This is the idea given by my sweet little daughter of 9 years and she has a major role in setting up the same. Also a "Kailasam Set" has been kept depicting the "Gnanapazham Scene"- the idea instigated by my husband. The "Stone Ganesha, Irudhayakalam Kolam and Ishwarya Kolam in stones" in front of the steps were the craftworks done by my mother. So, our house golu is a combined effort of all the members of our family. This is one special reason for me to like this Navratri Festival very much where it brings in all the family members together and gives us a chance to meet and visit our relatives and friends.
