This kolam is decorated with Flowers. I have used 8 types of flowers to decorate. It take nearly 45 minutes to complete.
This is traditional lamp arrangement done with a kuthuvilakku on festivals. it is called nalvilakku and the lamp can be either lit or not and fully decorated with manjal, kumkum and flowers.

I have done this using a marron plate for the base with sambangi, chrysanthemums, oleander and nanthiavattai.
This was done using rice batter on karthigai deepam festival. A regular traditional kolam with lamps arranged on it.
