This picture was taken by Mr.Krishna Kumar.The rangoli was made for the Nazareth College fundraiser (in New York). The center of the rangoli has the letters "N" and "C" – representing the college logo.
This is a pookkalam. Pookkalam is a rangoli colored with an arrangement of flowers/petals, created on the floor. The state of Kerala is popular for Pookalams made during the festival seasons like Onam and Vishu (the Malayalam new year).
