During the Onam/Navaratri/Diwali season, it begins to get really cold in Michigan.. So flowers are difficult to find.. But this year, i decided to use some rare flowers and make a poo kolam.
I was quite impressed with what it turned out to be.. Thanks to Mother nature.

This is an adhoc kolam made on Pongal day at home. It is too cold and snowy here to put a kolam on the floor outside the house, thus this one is done inside by the fireplace.

This is a Decoration of Goddess Durga/Lakshi using Rangoli color.
The chamkis and diyas around the rangoli, light up the face of the goddess.
I felt the power & energy of Durga ma while working on this. passing on that energy and good wishes to all of you.

I have used different colorful grains to make this. The outline is maa-kolam and then filled with grains.
