This kolam was made this evening to welcome Lalitha Thripurasundari Ambaal for Navarathri. Dot count from the middle - 13,11,7,7,3,3,1. The leaf-kind-of motif was lifted from a mehendi design -

Tried doing a husky shading inside the 3 petal flowers, something like pencil drawing with varying shades of grey. Candles added to enhance deepam effect. Started out with 9 dots oodu pulli and ended in 5, I guess. But dots were mostly guidelines for symmetry and rest was expanded freehand.

Chikku kolam with free lance border to make it look festive and celeb ! I was lucky to take this picture before the sparrows tail-painted it to add their embellishments !!
How are my butterflies I added some double lines to it, since I thought the designs were not prominent enough. Red ones are the Pullis.
Though small, this took me more time than what I thought. Also, I added frills to it on the go, so may be the creative juices were flowing slow 
Kutti Fusion kolam that I tried from an online portal, works for an apartment entrance.
