This is a rangoli created using grains and lentils from the kitchen. It is a simple one of devi but because of its size and the perfect creation of a border this whole thing took about 10 to 12 hours including the preparation of the board and the finishing touches like varnishing.
This was done on a glitter cardstock using some fabric glitter glue. Hope you all like it!! Some stones have been used too.
As I was sitting down and doodling I came up with my own design for a sikku kolam. This is done on a 9 by 9 straight dots. Hope you all like it!!
This is part of my Nav Rangoli done during this year's navaratri. I am sending this again as it never got posted in my gallery. As I am previewing this upload, I do not see the rangoli. Lata pls confirm if you get this submission
For this year's Navaratri I decided to increase the number of my golu steps to 5. After filling up the four steps, I did not have any dolls left for the last and the fifth step. Then I came upon this idea of creating a rangoli step and decided to do a different rangoli for each of the nine days. Here I am presenting the nine kolams in three different submissions due to limited space. Enjoy!!
By the way, I forgot to describe the rangolis in my first submission. It has rangoli of ganesha on water, rangoli with grains, rangoli using acrylic paints and rangoli with color sand and tapioca going in a clockwise order. This one consists of a rangoli in sanskar bharathi style using a stencil, sikku kolam using white color sand and flower rangoli(using the flowers from my garden) displayed on water. The third one has a wet rice flour kolam and a paisley design under water using color sand. Hope you all like it!!
