Tips for bright white kolam

The ordinary kolamavu will give dullness to kolam. Add 3 teaspoon full of rice flour and 1 teaspoon full of maida flour with 2 cups of kolamavu. On wet floor we draw kolam, and it will be very bright & fixed firmly on the floor till next day because of adding maida flour.

Smile Here in Malaysia, like many overseas, you cannot buy any white synthetic powder for drawing kolam. We just use ordinary rice flour at the altar for daily kolam. When we wish to draw maa kolam, fine ground Thai rice flour mixed with water.

Mam, i am happy, like you, people are watching ikolam around the world. My daughter is in London & i gave her sticker kolams for entrence of house & pooja room. Because on carpets we cant draw even arisima kolam. This tips is for Indians. Thankyou Mam. Smile Smile Smile
