My Gallery
I think its a better to display the number of kolams submitted by a particular member, when the gallery is visited. Lata, if possible can this option be provided. The decision may be taken by pooling the opinion of the members.
Members what do you say about this?

This feature and more are already in the list for the next site-update. I don't know when things would be complete though.

Even now, it is quite easy to find it out. Go to the gallery of a person, say, Mrs Lakshmidevi. Go the last page. Count the number of thumbnails there. It is 25th page for her. She has 11 there. Each page has 20 patterns. So she has 24x20=480 + 11 = 491 rangOlis. I like this way. Why should the numbers be displayed? Some have a few and others lot more. The people who have less may feel a bit awkward, is it not?

JKM sir, I agree with u and I'm also calculating the total number of kolams in the same way as said by u.
This may discourage members who want to view the galleries of other members and they may omit to see the gallery of the persons who has made less submissions eventhough the one or two designs that they have uploaded is beautiful.

Thanks for the opinion/feedback Lata, JKM sir and Maha.
I too agree with JKM sir and Maha about the calculation part.
But I may not agree with the 'discourage part'. Total no. of kolams is a just a handy/informative figure. Even other wise also the one who views gallery will come to know about the number of submissions in terms of pages. More no. of pages indicate more submission and less indicates less no. of submissions. I think its just a general information and it will not harm anyone's feelings. Instead they may get inspired to submit more. "Vishaya Tagolodu Avarava Bhavakke Bittiddu" ( Recieval of information depends on their view and analysation).

s, i too agree padma, there is nothing to feel awkward in less submissions, rather this is a place for us to create ,share and enjoy, ,number of submissions might be a general information and woudnt harm anybodys feelings
