My Gallery
We had bought a couple of Crossandra plants last fall season. Normally, these sun loving plants do not survive outdoors during the winter months. But, since we took care of ours indoors, in a heated place, they survived, and are in full bloom this summer.

So you have malli and kanagambaram too - that's really nice Lata... By the way do you know to tie a string of flowers (like the flower sellers do here)??

yes I do string the pink jasmine, and the kanagambaram. But, I have to beg my kids to wear them on their hair. They like to admire the flowers in a vase, or in their hands.
Last year, when I took my girls to see my friend's golu, they thought that the girls were wearing fake strands of the flowers. They had to feel it to believe it! I then shared the tips to grow/take care of crossandra flowers here. And, this is the reason why I post such topics in the first place. You see, someone might be surprised and find it interesting, and might find it useful.

Oh this is so cute Lata - I like the way that the flowers are clipped on (now who is this Surya or Diya??) the hair...

Lata, ur garden skill I appreciate. Here we grow flowering plants only for the monkeys to come and eat the buds.

For the monkeys? I shared your comment with my girls, and they think that monkeys eating the buds is more fun than just growing them in pots.
In America, to see the monkeys, we would have to drive for half an hour to reach the nearby Zoo. I'm going to post a topic about this soon.
