An article on PBS

vishNubhoTla lakshamanna, parucUri SrInivAs and I wrote a commemorative essay celebrating P B SrInivAs in the online telugu magazine eemATa. The url is http://www.eemaata.com/em/issues/201305/2100.html?fmt=rts&allinonepage=1 . I have given the transliterated English version for the benefit of the readers and listeners. I have written the major portion dealing with the tamizh and kannaDa sections. There are also some rare songs of PBS. Links are provided to more than 50 (yes FIFTY) songs in the article itself and there are an equal number of external links (shown in red) to youtube and raaga sites. Even if you don't know telugu, this article will be a treasure trove for listening. I composed a poem in a metre based on his name and there is also another scholarly article by SrI ElchEru muraLIdhara rAvu of New Delhi describing the contribution of PBS in literature and the theory of music. People who are knowledgeable in telugu can go to eemaata.com and enjoy the articles. For listening purposes, the link I have given is sufficient. There are also some rare photographs of PBs, e.g., with MGR and Sivaji! Regards - mOhana
