Today is my friend's 60th birthday(Aruvathu kalyanam)function at city.
I am just getting ready to go.
She phoned me up and asked me to bring one Arathi thattu.
I dont want to take old one.
Immediately, within 15 mint. I made this simple arathi thattu.
Just taken one new plate. cut outs 8 nos. of cardmaking paper as leaf shafe.Draw 3d outliner. arranged it like flower.
Centre piece is my E.Kolam plastric canvas kolam.
put some chamkies. Thats all ready. i am also ready to go.

Hi all, This plate was given as a gift by Indu maam from bangalore during the IKolam karnival Bangalore meet on 18.4.2010. I thank a lot her for this memorable gift. Arthi plates done for my nephew's reception a couple of years back.Most of the creations are "Wealth out of waste".The flower plate done with pencil shavings,another one with the shells,bird plate from cuttings of old greeting card etc.
Another arthi plate done with satin ribbon,tried to create a kolam but turned out to be some design.Hope u like it

This is the 3rd in my series of Arthi Plates made with turmeric ,betel nut,bangles,flowers and bindi ,all that is auspicious for the wedding.I tried for plastic betel leaves.But could not get it.So I plan to arrange real betel leaves at the time of Arthi.
