Thanks everybody. I forgot to mention in the text. This was done by taking the outline of a flower and inserting an Indian flag in it. Such flag flowers are packed symmetrically into a bigger image. My interest in sand art is through sona patterns which I described in my blog once. I have given links to the sand art of sudarSan paTnAyak under your cafe posting, sudhAjI. Regards! - mOhana

Wow! mOhanaji, it reminds me of the cute little school kids dressed in tricolor doing Republic day parade!. I just love the inner most white designs formed inside the green/orange petals in this rangoli. rajamma
