- Rangoli - using wool
This is as usual my E.Kolam.
As usual plastic canvas. Made this design with woollen.
Just I want to share this with you all because the finishing looks like a kolam.
This is the one I placed in the centre of the Arathi thattu.
1. Cut the colour woollen thread into small pieces.
2. Then grind it in kitchen mixie (if you cut it into large piece, then your mixie will be under repair). It will become a cotton.
3. Draw any design in chart paper.
4. Now paste cotton (woollen)in the chart paper, according to that design.
1.Cut the woollen into small pieces
2.Grind it in the mixie
3.Apply the Fevicol in the required design
4.Paste it (woollen pieces) on the design
5.Use the Colour powder(large size) to fill the gap.
My mother taught to do the basic woollen design. It is done on a netted cloth with cross stich and finally cut in the centre. After finishing the wollen work I took a velvet cloth and stiched the purse also myself. Please give your views.
This is also wollen kolam(E.kolam) done on plastic canvas.
I imagine this as padikolam and done like this.
Here is my Rangoli. Done on woollen thread. The base is plastic canvas.
As usual my E.kolam

This was done using "Crochet" needle. I did this 10 years back.
Took a pic now and sharing it across.

This is done using wool. This can also be taken up and place where we require.
