Just thought of sharing a poem on rangavalli The original is in Telugu in the famous kanda metre.
జలమున వ్రాసెను గాలియు
లలితముగా రంగవల్లి రచనల నెన్నో
వెలిఁగెడు తరంగవల్లిగ
మెలమెల సాగినవి వెల్గు మిలమిలలోనన్
jalamuna vraasenu gaaliyu
lalitamugaa raMgavalli rachanala nennO
veligeDu taraMgavalliga
melamela saaginavi velgu milamilalOnan
The breeze is drawing on water
countless amazing (rangavalli) patterns
The shimmering wavy creepers (tarangavalli)
move along in the radiant light
Unfortunately the beauty of the original cannot be transferred to English. The pun is on rangavalli (rangOli) and tarangavalli (waves looking like creepers).

Rang-tarang sounds good and like a cool breeze.
Does lalitamugaa mean some kind of a feminine face, or something along those lines? When it comes to processing words from unknown languages, the mind always tries to associate words to something familiar.
