Krishna is perhaps the god favoured by all Indians irrespective of age. Children can identify with him for his childish pranks, so can the teenagers for his adventures, so can the lovers for his love of music and dance, so can the adults for his sagacious advice and so can the very old for his profound teachings. In that sense Krishna is a sampUrNAvatAra, a complete manifestation of self. Since it is gOkulAshTami time, here is a puraMdaradAsa kriti on Krishna. If the infants and toddlers are adamant and refuse to pay attention to the parents, we have a habit of scaring them with "gumma" or "bUchivADu" or "pUcchANDi". yaSOdA too got fed up with the antics of Krishna and invoked the name of gumma and the child Krishna got scared and begs her not to call him.

Since Krishna mentioned about snakes, here is a simple snake pattern I created. This can be considered as a hridayakamalm too. This is a string drawing I made. I wrote a poem also fitting this pattern. It is in the metre tETagIti, a very common one in Telugu literature. Since it contains God's names, no special meanings are required. Such patterned poetry is called bandha kavitva. I wrote in English letters so that people may follow it easily. It starts at the north-east junction.
tETagIti -
mAdhavA kESavA kRshNa rAdha sakhuDa * O mAdhavA, kESavA, and the friend of rAdhA
dEva yO rAsakELikAjIva yanagha * O God, the life of rAsakrIDa, O pure one,
rAra yAnaMdarAgAbdhi mArajanaka * O Ocean of joy and father of manmathA,
jIvabhAvArtha naMdAtma dEva vinuta * O meaning of life, the soul of nandA,
O Lord worshipped by angels, come and bless me!

Thank you for the translation (we are able to understand and enjoy from all of your translations).
You've provided the different sections of the song, such as Pallavi, Anupallavi and so, apart from providing translation.
My guess is that you're also a Carnatic music teacher :)
